One thought on “Beryl Eichenberger reviews The Bitterness of Olives by Andrew Brown

  1. Good review. The Bitterness of Olives does force us to confront our own humanity. In parts I found the characters a bit drawn out and repetitive, especially that of the Israeli detective. Hard to believe this was written prior to October 7th. The amount of research of place and context it amazing. How did a South African come to write this book?
